Will this DockbarX work under XFCE 4.10 and if so, how? And can you tell where to get that theme?

Yes, it will work. Here is the ppa for Ubuntu:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:dockbar-main/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install dockbarx dockbarx-themes-extra
The themes are in "dockbarx-themes-extra" package. Im using Magic Transparency.
non-Ubuntu users should download from here [link]

Thanks, I've tried, but it constantly crashes on me and when I don't have something active this glitch occurs with pinned apps: [link] they don't disappear entirely.

Do you have compositing enabled? Im runing this with compiz but it should work with xfce compositor as well. And what`s your video card and kernel?

Ok, here are some possibilities for you to consider:
1. try 3.5.0-21-generic kernel
or...
2. sudo add-apt-repository ppa: xorg-edgers/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
or...
3. try to install dockbarx in a differnt desktop environment (gnome, kde, mate) from a live CD

Options 1 and 3 we can leave out, since I just got an update to 3.5.0-21, still the same. I don't want a different DE than XFCE and as for the PPA for Xorg, not really sure about that. I mean, it's just one dock.
For the moment I'm just using the XFCE panel a bit customized. But thank you. Not really sure why I get this glitch, but it's ok to live without one pretty panel.
Another thing is, I tried to install AWN and the DockbarX applet to see if it would work that way, but to no avail. Too bad.
I'm gonna uninstall both AWN and DockbarX. Guess it simply won't work for me and just re-install Docky and use that.
Thanks again for your effort.
