LET'S PLAY THE "GUESS SAMMY'S OBSCURE FANDOM" GAME!
What's the second-most replayed game I've ever played and has more rainbows and sparkles than a pride parade? Let me give you some hints. (answer in the (c) section)
This game was released in the early 2000s by Taito for the PS2
The main character is named Lau and he is voiced by GACKT.
That being said, this game has been dubbed, that GACKT game
This game sadly has a virtually nonexistent followings, but god is it gorgeous. So is the music. It's sadly very short but replay is high. Gameplay is fun, if not frustrating on occasion.
This game has so much awesome fluid martial arts effects, it feels like you jumped right into a scene of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.Β There is even this mysterious bamboo level with the most beautiful music. Watch out for the spiders in the temple.
Lau is pretty hot for a guy over a millennium old.
Changes from the original
Lau's colors are primarily pink, gold, and purple, all very much not Luigi colors. Unlike my last crossover, I decided to do more modifications with this one. I altered the colors to a green and blue color scheme. I modified them emblem on the arm to have a lightning pattern (the original was some sort of fire squiggles).
I did keep the original pattern on the outfit and sword and kept his hair spikey. The sword I used here is the upgraded sword. It's MASSIVE. The other sword is originally reddish-orange and silver. I kept the stripy pants, though I changed them from purple to dark blue.
The bright green is chartreuse, which shows up as bright neon green with my scanner. A cool effect, right?
Crossover game cast
Lau Wong: Luigi (protagonist)
Yohfa: Daisy (damsel in distress)
Rei Jenron: Mr. L (villain)
There are very few characters in this game.
Lines:
I had considered coloring this with sharp shadows and contrasts, but I went for something simpler to emphasize the pattern and not cover it with dark contrasts.
If you guessed the game as Bujingai: The Forsaken City (Or Bujingai: Swordmaster for you Euro folks), you would be correct!Β en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bujingai
