Aaaand the first good news Thunder Force has heard all day! No, this little bit of plotting is not some endeavor to secretly search for a perceived corruption within the Force. Sam and Centauri have no intention of concealing their actions from leadership. If Samantha can't investigate her father directly, she can investigate corporations that TF has reason to be suspicious of, who he has had dealings with. With other teammates and allies keeping her from flying off the handle, she can be kept on a "Short Leash" while actual investigation is still going on. A public probationary period will go a long way to her keeping off of the press' radar for now. Either way, the intentions of the two are not to go over Arrow Kill or Firebirds' collective heads.
This page, next page and the page afterwards are what essentially serves as the ground-work of future comic pages. Thunder Force has a lot of investigation power behind it, but investigation, stealth, guile are not its strong points. Added to this, as some of you may have noticed, the TF is about to have its hands full with Tanook's Idols. These investigations are going on throughout that period, and on the side. This means that Sam will need help to see this through. Each of these pages contains, you guessed it, seeds of potential future content (well, I do need to check in with Bug-Off first, obviously, but you get the idea).
The up-coming material will be a few side-comics, aimed at homing in on Valefar's trail, a bit like "Where in the World is Carmen Santiago," only they actually know where she is. They need to find weapons and ammunition to get at Valefar, while the boys at home verify that, yes. Indeed. There is something seriously wrong with Daniel Smith. Expect cameos, and not just from TF members in these investigations. Old allies and new ones will be coming to play very soon (really soon in fact.).

Too bad TF's general relations with one Reevecoastian spec-op aren't that good. He could have gone and made some serious recon.
I mean, mentioning a corrupt-to-the-core politian could just been enough to get him on with the case 
I like the fact that this story openly talks about other characters and establishments in the DU since it really creates the feel of a larger world. Good job!

One of the things I try to always keep in mind is that it's a collaborative world. Not merely stories in a bubble. It's really helped flesh out the story as much as I'm able. ^_^ and yes, he would be good at ferreting out quite a few dirty little secrets, wouldn't he? They should really meet one of these days.

Actually at this point of time, Falderoy has met some of TF. More on that when UA reaches third chapter which will most probably be my maybe the greatest show of a collaborative world

Just a little tidbit I'll throw out there:
Mr. Gregory Veillance is the son of a long line of military generals. He is family has lots of influence in the armed forces and, by extension, a good number of politicians. Despite continuing breaking from his family's tradition when he went into the private market, he still maintains a number of those contacts. It's one of the reasons he's so good at his job. He can easily pull strings to get intel on people.
But if Sam knows Greg's last name, anyone in the U.S. Air Force would recognize the name "General Veillance".

As I recall, the name "Veillance" was mentioned at some point in the fictions, either my writing or by Diago. So that direction is available for research. I'll send you a PM a little later on the topic. ty

Yeah, honestly, the whole Valefar/Daniel Smith story itself just would have felt so ... self-fulfilling if I wasn't actually involving other characters in and out of the Thunder Force, and drawing in other stories. So it's fun.
