Description And now the men who brought the Crazy Crew forth. Again, heavily inspired by *Earthsong9405 . I also drew a lot of awesome headcanon ideas from her in terms of earth pony, unicorn and pegasus anatomy and appearance.
____________________________________________________________

-Tom Riddle Sr., the ass who brought us another ass, Voldemort. Tom's family can proudly boast the unicorn tails, cloven hooves and horns that mark them, in their opinion, as nobility, and in my headcanon that world was basically divided that way, yes. Since mixed-race couple didn't happen very often, families tended to consist solely of one breed of pony, and more often than not the unicorns were the upper class. I have some weird headcanon that Tom and his family came from Britain's equivalent of the pre-Civil War South, and were very "racist" towards non-unicorns, especially earth ponies. His family couldn't do anything amazing in the way of magic, no more than levitating food and teacups to their mouths, and he was an arrogant snot.

He's not colored, but basically he was a brown-haired Rarity in looks as well as personality, only FAR more selfish and rude. Of course, once Merope gave up on magical roofies to control him, off her ran like someone lit a fire under him, leaving her pregnant with Voldemort. I think I heard somewhere that she was like 8 months pregnant when he left her. I don't have much more to say on him since he's a bum.

-Lercien ji Shakar, Grievous's father. A sort of preview for you of the age-thingy I'm going to draw for Grievous; he gave about 90% of his good looks to his son.

I have it in my headcanon that as the nomadic tribespeople of Kalee began to develop a more unified central government to keep up with other planets, nobility began to yield more and more monogamous couples, even as more wives still remained a symbol of wealth and power. The ruling families of certain tribes, groups or areas would often consist of a couple, their children, and the female was equal in social standing to her husband. Warlords of course still took females on the side as concubines, but never married them, and wives were no longer treated as property.

Years and years after this new maritial system first developed, Lercien was born into the changing political scene. His father was a warlord who was chief of an immensely powerful and respected tribe which basically consisted entirely of nobility and other warlords who each ran their own little tribe. As the need to maintain diplomatic relations with outside worlds grew, so did the need for more or less one ruling body to represent the entire populace, so Kalee adapted as it always had. Lercien's grandfather became the High Lord of Kalee when Lercien was still very little, with a leader from each tribe as his advisors, and a capital was erected in the central city of Syraene, which had up until then mainly been a place to make religious pilgrimages. Lercien grew up a warrior prince and, by the time his father had become king, the Huk wars were beginning. When his father died, Lercien took over the throne and the army and began leading his people against the Huk. Since the mortality rate on Kalee was drastically high, especially with infants, most males still did take multiple wives, but Lercien only took one, Sanar. Obviously she was not his only mate, but she was the only one to bear him children, and his most important; in fact, unlike most marriages on Kalee, the two were deeply in love.

Now, Sanar was not born an alicorn and neither was Lercien; he was born a Pegasus, but he had an alarming amount of magic for a non-unicorn, and as he grew older, around puberty his horn just started to grow, no miraculous task needed. Hence why everyone was so surprised when Grievous came out hornless AND wingless, just a bundle of eyes and fluff--and very small. In my headcanon Lercien is big, the same size as Celestia, say, and Sanar is roughly the size of Princess Cadence, maybe a tiny bit taller, but not as big as Princess Luna.
