Description The wind was blowing, there were dark clouds everywhere, the rain was lashing down and there was sheet lightning.

So I managed to get a photo with a slow shutter speed, that also captured the raindrops and some flashes of forked lightning!!

Thanks to ...

Lightning is so sporadic and fast I can never seem to capture it! How?

I took lots of pictures trying to capture he moment, counting seconds etc. But as I explained (in the description) it was sheet lightning anyway, so it would've been pointless even I had clicked at the right moment. So I cheated.

Check out the link for lightning in the description.

(sorry for cheating. I hope you're not keeping count of all the things I'm doing to disappoint you).

Ohhh. Haha, I'm surprised I didn't recognize those brushes since I've used them before! Testament to how realistic they look, I suppose. I should google how to capture lightning in a photo!

...needed a bit of cheating though (or clever use of technology depending on your attitude to these matters).

I'd rather think of cheat, but when it produces such dynamism without being too unrealistic, I can't help naming it clever use of technology
