I immediately thought this was the moment of damnation when I saw this, with someoneβs soul being dragged to Hell in the sight of Heaven. This is certainly a different piece for you; you draw a lot of dark things, but I donβt know that Iβve ever seen a sad piece about the triumph of evil like this. I guess drawing two cute, non-savage looking pokemon in a row took its toll on you.
Oh, and obviously you can draw backgrounds.

XD nah i can draw loads up cute but i do enjoy dark stuff in the mix.
this is not much of a bg. just some mashing of blue and red. and simple arms/tendrills/whatever XD nothing fancy.

In my opinion it is...maybe it's because I suck as perspective and backgrounds...and you pulled them both off lol. The contrast adds to the overall effect as well. Yes indeedy.

actually the scene i had was this angelic femaly flying about trying to avoid the darkness that is trying to grab her. she continualy tries to fly higher but each time she does the darkness manages to grab her.
She gets free several times untill its hold around her is to tight.
