Description A little sketch that I did awhile back in pencil and I scanned it and have been coloring on it on and off since early this fall when I had a chance to.

Again, I did another cute little kid thingy.

This is beautifully done and I could easily imagine it as an illustration in a children's story. I love the water and the reflections especially. Definitely not your usual fare and it also shows that you're not a one-trick pony!

Thank you. I was told in college not to be so diverse by one professor. I never understood that really.

Funny, I'm constantly being told, "why don't you paint something else?"

Have you seen Ghost Hunters International yet? I've been greatly disappointed with it so far, and in fact, it's raising my skepticism a notch or two. For instance, the "ghost" in the People's Church in Italy said, "Get Out!" Now why would a ghost in an ancient Italian Abbey speak English? I've also made note that they've rarely caught anything beyond EVPs (which could easily be faked off camera) or mysterious shadows in still photographs (ditto on the faking). It also didn't help that the only EVP they caught in Italian was, "basta," a simple word known to most non-native speakers. I would have been less skeptical had they caught a string of Italian that required some translation AND the content was surprising.

And what the hell is that Ion-meter thingie? They've never used one before, and and I know for a fact that ions are naturally occurring and greatly affected by the weather. It seems that we're supposed to be placated by the shadows everyone see (but are never caught on camera) and the thespian skills of the Irish investigator (who is very melodramatic). They also seem to be paying more attention to "orbs" than Jason and Grant ever did (they were usually explained off a dust in the camera).

I guess you can tell I'm pretty disappointed with it all.

I don't like it either. I don't like the jumping at shadows, seeing things off screen, the " something touched me", or I have a heavy or strange feeling. I feel the same about it as you do. I really was hoping for much more since the areas are so much older.

I don't believe in orbs and the language thing was silly from the get go. There is no way they would speak modern English.

I tried watching A&E's "Paranormal State" again to give them a second try, but then they brought in Lorraine Warren and that completely blew any insistence that they're unbiased "scientific investigators" completely out of the water. The Warrens are the biggest fakes of all, and their insistence that the Amityville Horror investigation was real is laughable, especially since several people have admitted that the hoax was perpetuated by the Lutzes to pay off their enormous financial failings.

Dammit! I "know" there are spirits and even malevolent spirits out there, why can't we get a critical/skeptical program to find them or to debunk the most famous cases (much like Ghost Hunters did with the Winchester House)?

I watched Paranormal State one time and didn't like it. It seemed too much based upon feelings and things that go bump in the night.

I agree, it's like the championship wrestling of the paranormal shows - lots of acting and no substance!

lol so cool. i love those flowers in the background the ones with the tubular petals, look like bee balm and like the reflection and the way it shifts the image. very real . ... her eyes on the other hand are totally freaking me,lol so this isn't part of your children's book illustrations i take it. do we get a preview of that..

Thanks and thanks for the fave. I am just trying things out with photoshop and I wasn't too sure about the water. No, it isn't part of the children's book but along the same idea. I just finished the drawings tonight. I am sending them for approval and I will see if they want me to show them beforehand. They are kind of simplified for my kind of work anyway. We were going for a more child oriented style and I hope I have it right.

Very adorable. I really like the water effect, it's murky so it reminds me of a real pond.

She's adorable. She almost looks shyly mischievous, like she's not supposed to be putting her feet in the water, and her mom is watching her.
