This is Katniss from Suzanne Collins ‘Hunger Games’.
Three things came to me when I was drawing this.
1. She is the sacrifice, sacrificing herself for the ones she loves.
2. She is the Mockingjay (hence the wings)
3. We burn, you burn with us! (flames)
I got the idea after seeing this:
I kind of got most of the body shape from it too.

yeah I know it's the neckline that made it go strange.
and the whole time I was doing the wings I was going "I hate these! they suck! they look terable! it's going to fail!"

Yes, i understand you ^^ I have the same problem with my models of tanks... for example my fav. tank has... 16 road wheels! Every wheel has two black tires, which i must paint... its terrible job

when I was trying to do the wings I had a major 'I'm a terrible artist!" moment. so I texted a friend saying so and he texts back saying "yip".
my reply was: "Thanks... that was Soooooo helpful"
it just drives you nuts sometimes!
