oh look I'm being all creative with the titles againI'm so done. 100% done. Feels like I've spent a lifetime drawing this. Actually more like 3 months, but still.
So I was definitely one of those who left the movie theatre with a crush on this guy (Aidan Turner). And umm yeah, couldn't quite get his face right, but this will have to do.
Oh almost forgot, this is Aidan Turner as Kili from the film adaption of the Hobbit.

Hey, I promise it gets better, sometimes you do drawings while you're in the mood, and sometimes you stop cause it starts to wane but if you push yourself to keep going it seems to work! I've been getting better at it lately!

If you love art -- click on download and then click on the painting to really magnify it. My god you can even see the cracks and weathering in the leather! This is absolutely one of the most detailed stunning works I've seen. Bravo!

Three months? I bow to your consistency (I am terrible in that way... I am not patient at all and most of my stuff ends up being the way it is because I can't be bothered to work on it for a longer time). If anyone ever asks me what fotorealism is, I will send him to you to learn and become a wise man...
And did I already say I love Kili... I mean I am not shipping anything in the Hobbit world, but I have a favourite dwarf which is him... I like how they shaped his character and I always got the feeling him and Fili are the ones who really seem to like Bilbo. In the book that appeared to be Balin all the time whilst all the others were pissed off by him (how can anyone be pissed off by Bilbo... I never understood it and understand it even less now that I have seen Martin's interpretation of him).

Oh I'm exactly like that, I finished most of the drawing the first week, then it took me like 3 months to get the details right. 
Me neither, I find it very hard to pair together anyone in the Hobbit (and Tolkien in general) unless they are canon. but umm yeah, the hobbit, not much for romantic subplots
Absolutely! What I especially liked is how both of them were developed as characters, giving them their own characteristics, in the book they were just sort of lumped together.
Dori, don't forget Dori, wasn't he after all the dwarf who always would offer to carry Bilbo (unless I'm mistaken).

I could stare and admire this painting forever. Kili is such a smexy dwarf, you definitely caught that smexyness in this artwork. My favorite detail is the deep shadow over his nose. I know that is a weird place to stare, but it makes this painting look so much more real.
And of course, I have to point out that gorgeous young dwarf stubble. Really good job there!
