She could either generate or absorb heat from her own body or surroundings. This ability allow her to control the temperature in a room or small area, so just say she's a walking and living AC. Mostly she focuses the heat on her palm, either to cook or self-defense. At this rate, the heat doesn't hurt her as she's the one who controls it. Thus she has a resistance. However, her ability is unstable. Sometimes, it's uncontrollable and burst out, letting a drastically extreme high temperature or very low temperature change, that could affect badly to surroundings. In this case, her own body is no exception.
>> Addition: Since she can control temperature, she can manipulate weather to some extent (i.e: windy, hurricane, raining) although it's limited to a small weather change and in a small area.

Coretta was born in quite a honorable family, a noble. She had a good achievement in her study, a good future prospect, and their parents really had big hope in her. One day, in her 17th birthday, their parents arranged an anniversary for her, inviting noble family around along with their heirs.

Coretta, being a good lady, smiling and introducing herself to every suitors. But, the tense was too high and she was too tired at that time. She's slowly collapsing. Suddenly, when one of the suitors shook her hand for introduction, he immediately threw her hand off. It was really, really hot. All the people in the hall quickly gathered around her, thought she had a worse fever. And that was the worst choice.

An extreme heat suddenly burst out from her, hurting all the people in the hall, including herself. As she slowly collapsing, she could see a old woman standing, among the people who falling and kneeling down. As if Coretta's heat didn't affect her, she walked forward to Coretta instead. Then, everything was black.

When she woke up, a necklace already hanging in her neck. But the old woman, was gone, nowhere to be found. Being a fast-learner, she quickly understood the situation and stood up. Before the rest the people in hall got conscious, she left the hall and ran away.

Throwing her old self away, she lived on her own since then, using everything she's got and also hiding her identity. From books and rumors, she learned that she's a magus and her tattoo was the proof. She started to learn control of her ability and also be cautious towards it. She still doesn't know what's the necklace for, but one thing she knew, it helps her sustaining her ability. Therefore, until she fully understands what the necklace is, until she meets that old woman from before, she never took it off.

One day, when she was walking on the streets and bringing a lot of books, she accidentally bumped into Orion the Duce that she dropped all her books. Her necklace was accidentally pulled and thrown to ground. Orion was about to help her when he accidentally touched her hand. Her temperature was rising. Coretta noticed it, quickly took her necklace and put it on again. That's when Orion noticed she's also a magus and finally recruited her.

She was trained and taught to be lady, therefore, she always act like one. She's friendly and can be cheerful to her friends, especially with the magus since she knows they share the same fate. She's also quick to adapt and befriend with people, she will laugh at their joke and tease a little too. However, she almost never showed her real feelings and tends to hide them whenever she feels sad or gloomy. Despite her kindness and caring, she's always suspicious towards everyone. She has been living in shadow, hiding herself all this time, so she tends not to believe people easily. But mostly, she doesn't show that. She always shows a warm welcome outside.

Loves to cook and good at that. She mostly use her ability to cook--such as putting the pan on top of her palm to heat the pancakes, or holding the egg to make boiled egg~
