This happened to me while playing Pokemon X, And I couldn't help but laugh at the thought.So I drew it out. Lol.
Yes, that's it's actual ability... One of them at least.

I laugh at that, too :3. I mean, why would something be so nervous to eat berries? So is frisk, like the opponent somehow goes up and searches you and steals ur item somehow without you attacking the opponent at all....

Hahaha XD Yeah, some of the abilities are weird trying to imagine. I mean... why couldn't it be nausea or something? The wild pokemon makes yours queezy so they don't feel like eating. Even that would have made more sense. XD

Joltic from Pokemon Black and White had the same ability. It was an electric spider that was 4 inches tall. I always thought it was funny because large Pokemon wouldn't eat berries because of a tiny spider!

I always assumed that that was because that they were worried of eating joltik who might have been crawling on their berry, but who knows XD

Actually, I never played White or Black. I was part of that group that hated on the game without playing it and I regret it. I got White 2 and absolutely loved it.
