Description This is the Leman Russ MK III "Terrier" - an urban combat tank. It is designed as an infantry support vehicle. The gun is, as usual, removeable and the turret can be fittet with every gun you want from the the Arsenal

The chassis is made from a normal Leman Russ "Demolisher", I got from a friend. For a long time I wanted to make a tank, that doesnt look like from WWI out of a standard Leman Russ. I'm very pleased with the outcome.

I made some rules for the "Terrier". Here is an excerpt:

Leman Russ "Terrier" Variant (165P)
F-S-H 13-13-11

Equipment:
- Terrier Bombard - Reach: 24 Zoll ; Strenght: 8 ; Penetrating: 3 ; 5 Zoll Template
=> "Shockwave": the bombard lowers any cover by 2
- Front Lascannon
- Smoke dischargers
- searchlight
- Dozerblade

Spezial rules:
- tank (! NO lumbering behemoth !)
- "here we stand":
The Dozerblade can be dropped as cover for infantry (only infantry) - 4+ cover/ 5+ rescue. The blade can be destroyed by only a direct template hit with strenght 9 or higher, or a gun with penetrating 1. The blade has a 14-14-14 Armor. If destroyed, the blade desintegrates D6 Zoll and every unit suffers a strength 8, penetrating 2 auto hit - any unit hit has only a +5 rescue roll, regardless of its rulebook stats or any cover else.

...and so on... what do you think?

All seems fine with the bombard (wich seemed a bit much when it lowers cover saves, but then was balanced by not being a Lumbering Behemoth), the armour, the weapons, the points cost, but I dont get the "Here we stand" rule. Why can it only be destroyed by a weapon with strength 9 or AP 1? Why not make it break from any glancing or penetrating hits, with armour 13-14, as most of warhammer 40k's similar stuff does? Also, I think the breaking of the blade with S 8 AP 2 is a bit exaggerated, usually S 8 is heavy artillery, and AP 2 is Supercharged Plasma, my suggestion is that you just make it break. It falls over, it just generally breaks, it flies away a bit, counts as destroyed. I'd say change the "Here We Stand" rule, the other ones looks great! Oh, and good job on the tracks, I love it! ^^

Ah, ok, I see your point. The idea was, to make it possible to block a road entirely. At my first attempts, the blade was just a terrain detail after the dropping - so not destroyable in any way.
After that, I wanted it destroyable, but veeery tough. Maybe, I'm influenced by my usual opponents. They use all melees, energyblades, fists, etc and AP1 weapons, so anything with armor points is vaporiced at the first attack.

I think I keep it. The blade is nothing you should destroy. You can flank it, as it provides cover only when it is between you and the shot.

Thank you for your comment

Does dropping the dozer blade lower it's frontal armor value or any other drawbacks?

No it doesnt. There are other rules, for example "Homeground" (the Terrier can ignor the difficult terrain rule), which takes only effect, as long as he has the blade.
