I know it's a portrait, but it feels so real. Love the eye and the expression.
Not all the time you see drawings that make you think in the history there is in some one's face.

I'm not entirely sure, my art teacher in highschool just said she wanted to put 2 of my pictures in it and I didn't actually do to the show. I think they gave out ribbons for prizes, but nothing big.

Excellent work on this! Self portraits are hard to do. When I had to do one I made myself into a tree, my face was bark and my hair was leaves...I got an F.

Thank you, this portrait was pretty much my first serious art project and I had a substitute teacher during the process of this drawing, and the funny part is, the substitute was way more helpful than my actual teacher was... haha. ^_^

Ha! They usually are for some reason - there's a certain sense of artistic freedom when theres a sub. Maybe thats a sign that you are a better artist when you are not being pushed or graded? [thats how I am anyways]
