Description
Another cityscape created using Mandelbulb 3D.I am still trying to figure out a way to apply a different texture to the "floor" created with a HeightMapIFS and the rest but it seems I need to go through Gimp and masking and so on - don't really want to go there with fractal images. So here it is in all its reflective beauty.

Just a related question - AFAIK development on Mandelbulb3D stopped because basically Jens stopped developing it any further. On request the source code is available (got that from fractal forum) but you need a Delphi 6 (?) development environment.
How do you develop those new dIFS formulas? Do you have a complete development environment set up or is there another way to create new formulas and make them work with mandelbulb 3D? Β

Sadly he is not responding to emails so as I know the program is abandonware.
Creating formulas requires assembly programming as it's the only way that really works for me!
No environment just me vs the math and the program

I had a response via Christian Kleinhuis over at the fractal forums -yes - it is abandonware but the source doe is available - Jens told me there is some 3rd party code in there which he has not the rights to so that is why it is not going open source but you can get the code if you go via Christian.
AND it requires a DelphiΒ environment which I could not (OK, I only tried for a bit) get my hands on.
Hmmmm, assembler - I did assembler programming about 20 years ago for transcoders (mobile phone infrastructure) and it was not always nice - any byte counts.
So I not try to get involved in that.
Credits - are always nice but they are extra work and you are putting your time in so no - I am good.
