Oh boy! I'm posting!
A 3-hour speedpainting for Kittiara of her character Tierney . This is the first time I've drawn a cardinal... how fun! Loosely based of the pose here ~

you achieved dimension well in this; the lighting and level of detail works really well and helps draw the eye to the face, and you blocked out all the forms excellently- i especially like the material around the hips/shoulders.

oooohhhh o love the short beak! and the clothing style is lovely, the pose has movement like he's pushing back against the wind! color choices are soo pretty to look at and i love your painterlyish style.

Thanks so much! Believe it or not Tierney is a girl, but I think it's really hard to tell with bird people... although it could just be because I have the chest area pretty obscured.

I dunno. But I know I want to be a bird person. Maybe gets some glowing runes and silk robe. Be all like "Coo!" and fre blasts out from floating glyphs like ptchuu ptchuu ptchow!!!
...or what ever sound fireballs make.

Having casually paraded around the city of Boston with the owner of this character in this costume this was crazy to see the DDs tonight. This is so cool regardless and considering 3 hours plus the style of this you paint very economically. Also, looking at the rest of your gallery, your use of color is great; keep up the good work
