This is very good, although...I don't want to be a stickler or a nuisance but I think you have it crossed. Yin(Black)represents female while yang(white)is male. I'm pretty sure, although I could be wrong. In any case, its very pleasing to look at.

Nice, very nice job. I'm favoriting and saving it. Love the shadinng.
But, oh no, the colors are mixed up. Yin in feminine and Yang is masculine.

Thanks for the comment n.n
As for the yin-yang/female-male association, the figures are not necessarily holding on to the color with which they are to be associated. The symbols for male and female are more indicative of that (the color inside the circle "belongs" to the gender)
The rest of it is the "opposites attract" part. The woman is near the yang because she is by nature yin, and therefor attracted to the yang, which is also the male figure on the other side of the painting. The same is true for the male figure, only with the yin and yang aspects reversed.
From our friend Wikipedia:
Yin (陰 or 阴 "shady place, north slope, south bank (river); cloudy, overcast"; Japanese: in or on; Korean: 음, Vietnamese: âm) qualities are characterized as soft, slow, substantial, wet, cold, conserving, tranquil, gentle, and corresponding to the night.
Yang (陽 or 阳 "sunny place, south slope, north bank (river), sunshine"; Japanese: yō; Korean: 양, Vietnamese: dương) qualities are characterized as hard, fast, insubstantial, dry, hot, excited, aggressive, and corresponding to the day.

Thanks a lot n.n
I enjoyed doing it, even though it was pretty simple. I'm secretly in love with the way I painted the male figure's arm XD

I just buried it in my portfolio and never got around to digitizing it lol
Now it has found the internet, and all the love that Ms. C refused it has been thrown upon it in earnest :3
