Entry for *ThePencilClub 's contest [link] The theme was to illustrate the lyrics of your favourite song, and I chose this song because the theme of the song is something that I very strongly feel about, due to past experiences. I'd been wanting to do a "tribute" piece for quite some time, and the contest was a great way to kick me into action.

This is Alexander from "Ultima", one of my stories, the model is Alex Band. I chose this chara for a reason, too: he's not only connected with the theme of the lyrics, but he's also the chara that I most easily "feel", so to speak. I went for a stylized realism look, didn't want to stray too far into photorealism, but didn't feel that my own "style" was good for this.
