Here from .
It may be hard to depict the emotions you were going for, but you definitely got it. I could tell instantly that the character was sad or depressed. It's definitely all in the eyes. This really does say all that needs to be said. The character's backstory is not as important as her current state would be, I guess.
It looks like the girl is wearing a shirt that is several sizes too big for her, even though her shorts are smaller. This creates an incongruous effect, though I am not sure what it has to do with her emotional state, but it does highlight that her body has become translucent, by contrasting it with her clothes. This does amplify the result compared to if she had been colored in normally. The only thing I could say to improve this a little would be to check the position of her legs. Her upper body language looks correct for the emotions you are portraying, but her legs are just standing there without taking the upper body in mind. Shouldn't they be bent a little because she is slouching down a bit? (I may be wrong, though.) On a more minor note, her shirt does look a little weird how she is wearing it.
I should probably try to use these techniques when I want to depict such emotion in my own art. So the way to draw something transparent is to outline it and then add white highlights, while keeping the color of the objects in the background? That is good information to know.

I like that she's partially transparent. I also like the color choices. The body is somewhat elongated, the length of the upper arm is too long when compared to the width of the chest and shoulders, but I like that the abdomen is wide, because most people tend to make their characters unrealistically skinny. The neck is too long and narrow, but that's probably part of your style. Narrow is ok, you can get away with that, but too long generally reads as "wrong", unless you make it intentionally giraffe-like, and then it needs to be wider at the base. The ratio of hair to face is also way too big, even though I really like the looks of the hair. Generally eyes are halfway between the top of the head and the tip of the chin, unless the head is angled downwards or upwards. I think you inteded the face to be angled downwards a bit, but the nose is angled upwards and there is no foreshortening on the area between the nose and mouth. I like the highlights and the dappled light on the shirt. Sorry this isn't very concise. I just wrote observations as they came to me, without formatting it much.

Masterful characterization. I, too, like the wall - the girl looks "hollow" inside but vaguely ashamed to share her feelings. Will you do more of these concepts? They're extremely touching and very relatable.

Oh Thank you so much! I have a lots of alternate version of this empty girl, but they are currently WIP, glass are so hard to paint.
On the subject matter, I have several of others pieces like this in my gallery, feel free to drop by π Thanks!

Hmmmmmm: maybe she feels invisible enough towards everyone: that she feels as though she can actually turn invisible and disappear through the garden wall right behind her?
