Illustration from my Transformers fanfic: "Testament". Rusti runs away from home after her brother attacks her. She runs is taken to Fortress Maximus where Optimus Prime cares for her and gets her a meal. Unable to eat anything at first, Rusti just plays with the soup until Optimus offers to blow on it in case it's too hot.Prismacolor and ink.

I love this moment in *Testament* where he offers to blow on the soup for Rusti. Poor girl is so distraught (she was in a bus that was attacked by terrorists). She had a meltdown. I also love "Quiet Moment". That turned out really well. And "Broken Toy"... *sigh* He's too much fun to draw!

You know, every single time I come back and look at this picture, my heart melts. I just love the colors, and the kindness and gentleness you can practically feel in the way Optimus bends toward her, hands tentative. And I just love the way you drew his eyes. Love it, love it, love it. Next time you go to Botcon, if Peter Cullen is there, you should get him to sign a copy (or maybe even the original!)

That's a swell idea, Sylver. But it seems the last time I saw Peter, he was constantly surrounded by Hasbro's henchmen. I loved BotCon 2004 cuz I got to steal a kiss from him.

They do need each other. Rusti is really good for Op who can't open up to anyone around him. I have plans to write a series of stories about Rusti as a baby, but I've not worked on it yet.
