PERSONALITY
Didericus is a strong-willed man who prefers to remain in closed quarters. Although he does have a tendency to visit markets and buy groceries with his wife in the bazaar, he prefers to read a book and smoke his pipe in the comforts of his own room. In short, he is a shy, quiet man who always wears a stern expression on his face regardless of his mood. He is rumored to smile, however, in front of his wife, Annabelle, but no one (sans Annabelle) has ever witnessed such a smile.

A man who hates losing, Didericus is even more stern-faced and silent when he is angered in an argument or game of chess. Even when he is happy, he does not show much of his joy through words or facial expressions. He prefers to express his happiness through physical contact, such as a hand on the shoulder, or a quiet glance. With his wife, he need only smile a tad, and she would know what he is thinking.

HISTORY
Didericus is the second son of the first wife of the former King of Eisenberg. Only five years apart from his elder brother, Andromedus, the two grew up together happily in the capital city. Didericus's mother was frequently ill, however, and passed away when he was still a child. The King of Eisenberg took in a second wife, who gave birth to two more sons: Raginhart and Hughbert. These two children were far younger than he and Andromedus, so the brothers took care of the young children when the King was on imperial tours and conferences.

Andromedus, like his mother, was also frail, and became bedridden when Didericus was only twenty. He passed away one year later, and Didericus, ridden with grief from his brother's death, disappeared from the Eisenberg family completely. Perhaps it was during this time that he acquired the powers of a vaporeon, but how he did so is still a mystery until this day.

Four years after settling in to a small town on the coast of Eisenberg as a "mere civilian," Didericus was greeted by a prominent nobleman who discussed the matters of state with him one day. It was during this time that Didericus met his wife, a girl of five, who became so attached to him that the nobleman decided to give her to him as a child bride. Didericus at first refused, but seeing that the noble did not care much for his daughter, accepted and took her in his care.

At first reluctant to wed this child, Didericus tried hard to find her a suitable man who would take care of her. However, as time passed, he realized that he could find no man who would love and care for her as he did. As such, they married when she turned fifteen, and Didericus, thirty-five. Shortly after their marriage, Annabelle, his wife, gave birth to two sons: fraternal twins. Five years later, Annabelle had another child, a daughter this time, who's been Didericus's focus of adoration ever since.

ESTABLISHED RELATIONSHIPS.
Annabelle von Eisenberg - his beloved wife. Now and then she would talk and sing to him, and, being the quiet statue that he is, would listen with silent happiness. Oftentimes, he fails at conveying his emotions to her through words, but his awkward smiles and small gestures of love are always received well by the innocent, caring Annabelle.

Andromedus von Eisenberg (deceased) - His elder brother, and his true source of inspiration. Although only five years apart, Andromedus knew the ways of the world far better than Didericus ever did. His elder brother's teachings to him still hold great importance in his heart until this day. Although Andromedus is deceased, Didericus continues to pray to him and ask for his guidance when he is in trouble. His love for his brother exceeds the boundaries of life and death.

Raginhart von Eisenberg - His younger half-brother, whom he thinks is a stubborn little boy till this day. Didericus firmly believes that Raginhart should marry within the bloodlines of royalty, as his children will most likely take over the throne someday.

Hughbert von Eisenberg - the youngest half-brother that he doted on when Hughbert was born. He took care of him exclusively when Raginhart mocked his younger brother, and kept him close by to himself and Andromedus when the latter was bedridden. He had a tendency to dress Hughbert up like a baby sister, and even today, he still treats him like his "little princess."
