Again - really amazing colors! Good work. But maybe it would be better if there is a front object(?). But only little critism... This pic is really great!

I said it. I'll resist.
I won't fav this one!
I would gladly pin it on my wall, but I must be strong.

Thank you!
I like them like this...slightly desaturated...but vivid...at the same time.

The gradation of tone and colour here is excellent

good composition... personally, i think the colours look a litte flat in this one, but the contrast helps bring the scene to life... either that or my monitor is playing up.

Hoi niet Nederlands Konijntje. Like this pic. Did you use a polaroid-filter or is that sky done in post-production? 'Cause I never seem to get skies that black.

Greetings from wel Nederlandse Bas

I just love your pictures
Melissa, I noticed when I add the black and the cyans to the blue the images can get some noise . I tried to reduce noise in PS but it just doesn't work right, do you have any tips on how to get rid of that ?

Konijntje In reply to hellfirediva [2006-10-02 01:38:10 +0000 UTC]

Funny, I was just thinking about that problem a few days ago. I did used to have that problem...and I was noticing I don't have it any more. The thing is that I don't know what I'm doing now that's any different. Let me think about it and see if I can find out...or put into words exactly what I do.

hellfirediva In reply to Konijntje [2006-10-02 02:37:11 +0000 UTC]

Let me know if you figure it out lol , I tried everything , like noise reduction etc ... I get a weird noise "border" in the darker blue.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Konijntje In reply to hellfirediva [2006-10-02 02:48:04 +0000 UTC]

There are three ways to fix this:
- Add a little less black to the cyan and blue
- Increase contrast and/or lower brightness, and/or desat + darken blue and cyan in hue/sat (this option is a little daring)
- Keep trying variations of the above two options

I think this is how I fixed mine. I remember one day that I was surprised to find out that by increasing contrast and lowering brightness the noise disappeared. The only trick is to make sure you save almost all contrast adjustments to the end (unless you make minor adjustments in the RAW editor). I'm pretty sure this was the evolution my noise elimation.
