You know how every once in a great while you see the work of another artist that makes a great enough impression on you & inspires you in a way that it will undoubtedly have at least a small hand in forming or reforming your own style? Well I just found that inspiration in your gallery this morning. Lately my images have been turning slightly darker & more contrasty, even sometimes at the expense of information on either extreme end of the tonal scale & I've really felt right in that "place" like it's the way I should be shooting (I'm just at the point in my art now where I'm starting to develop my own true style, so I guess I'm very "artistically impressionable" & anything can mold it or shift it a little bit) so I have been expirementing & studying that style as much as possible.
Your gallery is one of the few on dA that can hold my attention all the way through I I especially like these "mood" images. The way you use shadows & light is very interesting, maybe I'm just weird but looking through your gallery kind of feels like reading a book if that makes any sense. Anyway I guess I'm rambling now, I guess seeing how much I enjoy these images of yours just kinda reinforced the direction I have been heading with my own. Of course I have to fav this one too & will be putting you on my watch list in about 2.30020 seconds.
