Ugh, the scan just totalled this, the colors are crap and somehow it looks messier. But, it's a drawing I did for my art class last year, and yesterday I finally found when my dad put it and the rest of my stuff. There's more to it, but I had to scan it in four peices just to get this, and the crap background really isn't worth the troubleRelated content

The folds of cloth are really nice, stripes are difucult for me, I find that impressive. And the piece has a really nice enviroment. Wish I could see the real thing if this is the "messed up" version.

Of course it's worth it. If it doesn't scan well I tend to edit it to the point where it natually resembles the original to some degree. This is beautufully done, so much consideration to the lighting and colour, not only that you've given the subject a home and as a result looks a lot more dramatic and makes practical use of free space. Keep it up.

Mainly I say w00t because of the shadeing/shadow play/lighting is very apt/fitting/good/pulled off well.
And the folds of the clothing and the realistic feel of it is also very nice.

You really have amazing skill with color. I love how the clothes look especially. The jeans look so realistic, which is pretty hard to achieve in my experience. Awesome piece!

yeah i know what you mean...none of my stuff ever looks half as good on the scan as it does on the paper. its really irritating lol. scanners=the bane of my existence.

They're so messy, they get all over the place and smudge like crazy. Plus, I like what I am familiar with, and I am most familiar with colored pencil. You can blend with colored pencil if you know how... what I realy like about the pastels is that you can draw light over dark, which is just not possible with colored pencil.

Wow, that's some skill right there. Chalk pastel? Beautiful job on the proportions. The lighting and shading is excellent. It really looks very nice. ^^ I wish I could do realism like that.
