From what I have been told, this looks very startling and slightly wrong to people who don't know who Jason is. I have also been told that they way he's holding the CIGARETTE makes it look like he's smoking pot, which is... well, I'm sorry for not knowing all about how people smoke different drugs! Oh well. The shading is different, but actually works better imo than the more complicated shading I usually try to do in CG. Simple, clean, allows the lines to do the work.Related content

I recall someone drawing a sketch of Jason smoking. It sort of caused conflicted emotions in me.
When it comes down to it, this picture suits the character perfectly.
This does the same. I feel sorry for the kid, it makes me think he's trying to be a good guy, but deep down it just doesn't work for him. So he's like, "To Hell with Batman," and lights up.
I really like the crinkles in the clothing and the light shadows.

Nice job. It is funny to see a Robin smoking, especially when someone isn't familiar with all the R-history and the various Robins.
Or in this case, the long and winding history of one of them. It's also funny how the Robin costume didn't change until the early '90s, so basically you had this kid fighting in hotpants and ankle booties. Though the classic suit can look good when it isn't drawn so flatly (as in, when they give it more detail).
It's always nice to see some Robin fanart.

Very nice and crisp, kudos on the coloring because it looks awesome.
Now, I don't think i know who Jason is, but he's dressed like Robin so I assume he does some physcial activity... so it's not what he's smoking that confuses me, but the fact that he's smoking at all.

I don't know why I love this part so much..but...the little section of his cape hanging off the building is really nice. ^_^ Heh heh, he has the gayest shoes..wow.

It does look like pot, but I know a lot of people who hold cigarettes like that once they get close to the filter.
How you hold it is all personal preferance anyway.
Aside from all of that though, this is a great picture.
It looks like it could have been pulled straight out of an actual comic book.
I love the shading, and the windows are an excellent touch.

You noticed! I finally had an epiphany about coloring; that to make the lighting look sort of dim without making the picture dark so you can't see anything, just grey the colors. I was SO proud of myself.
