New human just dropped! This is Petal. Partner pokémon pending.

He primarily inhabits the wasteland because he wants to help pokémon in need as a nurse. Petal passionately believes that all pokémon deserve to be cared for, which means that he will attempt to give medical aid to any pokémon that he observes to be struggling (including the very very dangerous ones). He understands that they are dangerous, but can't stand to see them in pain.

In one altercation with a more dangerous wasteland pokémon, he suffered head trauma which resulted in an 8-ball fracture (don't look it up if you're bad with blood) in both of his eyes since he was hit head-on. That design choice is heavily inspired by 2D from Gorillaz. This has resulted in his vision being significantly clouded and blurred to the degree where he is effectively blind, although he can still see vague shapes, movement, and changes in light. His companion is a psychic type, and in moments of immediate and fast danger he (the pokémon) will often telepathically communicate images into the human's mind. The pokémon will also do this when Petal is healing a pokémon and needs to see their injuries/ illnesses. Aside from that, Petal has become adept at navigating the wasteland with very limited vision. He has a cane, but often does not need to use it in areas of the wasteland that he is familiar with.
