Description

my friend recently got me into Sweet Tooth. I've only watched 2 episodes so far so please no spoilers, but I was so inspired I kinda,,, made a LOT of OCs and wrote a lot of story based on my limited knowledge that I gleaned from the first two episodes (and what my friend has told me, so I'm aware of what's happening in the labs).

Here is some info about these characters:

Fearless: 10y/o. A boy who is a hybrid w/ the Abyssinian cat breed. The leader of their small group. Escaped the labs w/ Adore. Fearless is the one who plans scavenging trips and executes them. Although they almost always travel as a trio, Fearless is usually the only one who is immediately visible- Adore and Stargazer remain hidden so that they can ambush anyone who gives him trouble. Fearless is also the only one of the trio who can pass for a human if he needs to- he just tucks his tail into his pants, wears a hat over his ears, a scarf over his nose, and gloves (he has retractable cat claws instead of fingernails). Fearless is the one that keeps the group moving and motivated, constantly making plans. He learned to speak by observing researchers in the lab.

Adore: 10y/o. A girl who is a hybrid w/ a Peregrine falcon. Escaped the labs w/ Fearless. Adore is less interested in the group as a whole, but she cares for Fearless as a sister would care for a brother and also needs food like anybody else. As such, she usually goes with him and Stargazer on scavenging trips. Aside from that, she often acts as a scout because she can fly very quickly since the Peregrine falcon is the fastest flying animal. Adore wants to figure out a way to live without having to constantly move from place to place and scavenge for food. This is ultimately what results in the group forming into a full-fledged Clan. Adore also mediates most effectively, since Fearless is entirely unwilling to ever negotiate with any humans. She learned to speak by observing researchers in the lab when one of the researchers grew particularly attached to her. That researcher was terminated, but not before she could teach her how to speak and read. Adore then taught Fearless and Stargazer to read upon their escape/rescue.

Stargazer: 9 y/o. A boy who is a hybrid w/ a Stargazer fish. Was rescued from a poacher by Fearless and Adore. Stargazer was kind of raised by Adore and Fearless, but they're close enough in age that he's more like a little brother to both of them. Stargazer is the one who usually builds small forts and shelters, because he is naturally inclined to do so. He has fully-functioning gills and can breathe both in water and on land. Of the three, Stargazer is the most likely to stay back during scavenging missions because he is better at construction than he is at fighting. That being said, his bite is excruciatingly painful due to his hybrid type.

I am aware that they do not presently look very threatening. That is deliberate. I mean come on, they're kids who were forced to learn how to survive on their own but they're still kids. The situation that they were forced into is very unfair, and I want that to be readily visible.

Fearless and Adore escaped the labs together at a very young age and have been surviving together in the wild ever since. They view one another as siblings. They want absolutely nothing to do with humans and have disowned everything about the species, including the (colonizer) human way of making names (which is the only one that they're aware of due to the fact that they have only ever had experience with lab humans or poacher humans, none of which was really mutual communication). They (and all of their subsequently-added group members) choose names instead based on words that they like, typically adjectives or verbs that they think apply to them or that they set as goals for themselves.

They found Stargazer when he was being poached, and they were able to save him from that fate. Utilizing their hybrid skills, the three of them became ruthlessly effective at survival, as well as at taking down humans who threatened them. Stargazer, Adore, and Fearless all view one another as siblings due to how young they were when they met and how close they were as they grew up together.

Adore, Fearless, and Stargazer ultimately decided to call their group a Clan. They think that the human means of referring to a group as a "company" is just as detached, cold, and soulless as the humans themselves. They do not want to associate themselves with humans at all, and believe that humans are inferior to them. So they refer to their group as a clan. They rescued more and more hybrids from poachers, and their clan steadily grew. Most recently they found and rescued a hybrid infant.
