I'm trying to make an online avatar of myself and it's really hard to find the armor that I like. I'll keep coming back to look at this to get some ideas.

As with the fire-arms: non-commercial.
With exceptions: in the top row, the second and third are maybe a bit too similar to Diablo-II-Armours. Please do not use these if you publish your book. That could cause some trouble...

Great reference. I'll probably get a lot of mileage out of it.

Invaluable work. Very good!
Any chance of adding the name associated with each piece?
Also, have you ever considered drawing up armors from the 17th to 18th century? I know many armor types weren't used due to firearms, but I'd greatly appreciate a visual guide to what was available.

I will add a short description. Those are design-concepts for a pen & paper rpg I'm currently working at. The setting at the moment is between bronze age and late middle ages, so most of the drawings of items, esp. weapons and armour is from these periods. First campaign will be around 1450s, so most of my research focused on medieval technology.
Actually I am thinking about a swashbuckler-extension, which would be 17th to 18th century and a steampunk theme that would be based on victorian period aesthetics. I wanted an open rulebook anyways. But that will take some time.
