Ansel was a genius. I only wish to create things like he did.
Nice picture. Great contrast -- love the dark, dark blacks.

Anything I could say would only be subjective anyway... we all see things differently..hey we don't all want to be taking the same photographs huh?

Actually, he did much of his work at Yosemite in California, also.

Yes he sure did, and his NM work is a lot less known unfortunently.....his images that she shot while in NM though have always influenced my work, along with his shots from Wyoming

his New Mexico work is what I am the most familiar with, since I've lived in New Mexico. I have his photograph of Taos pueblo. I really love his work and want to master the art of landscape photography in black and white. I plan to take a college class in the fall and learn to develop black and white photography, as well as master different techniques of film photography.
Should be really fun.

Ya that is my background, B&W film ....it's where I started all this at . It is certainly different than digital, I will say that!

I've always loved Adams work, I have a few books of his.
and this is a wonderful tribute, it's easy to miss all the little details in color. B&W forces your mind to actually see what's there, not just the colors.
