Desert DaybreakSouth Valley Park in Colorado sets the scene for a nice brackdrop with it's "Canyon Country" style cliffs...it was cold and the weather was pretty odd when I was shooting this, couldn't make up it's mind if it wanted to snow, rain, clear, be foggy, but the diffused light really made for some interesting shots.
I 'spose I am pretty happy with it overall, and yes it was shot ion a hill so hence the slant of the pathway. Anyways, hope ya all like it!

Wow, I've missed this one. The sky looks awesome and the light "cutting" the rocks gives life to this moment. The color on the grass goes along with the sky perfectly. An amazing shot once more.

Great shot John! This is probably my favorite one of yours recently. Something about it just really draws me in and I think it has a big WOW factor. I think its the perfect lighting and dramatic sky. The one suggestion I do have is I find that there is just a tad too much of that grass in the foreground which doesn't really do much for the composition in my opinion and it doesn't help that it isn't entirely in focus. I would crop it just a little below that rock in the lower left corner. Other than that minor detail I think this is a very well executed photo and I really enjoyed it.
