It was just a suggestion from his mother as many students have their own pets, so it would be nice if Noah got a small companion as well. In the beginning, he was not really impressed as he thought it was a burden. In the end, Noah got attached to her rather quickly. She was cuddly, soft and warm. Noah was happy and felt relaxed holding her in his arms. He named her Sweety as her soft white fur reminded him of sugar cubes.

The Forsythe family was a rather carefree household. Henry Forsythe and Gabrielle Forsythe are both half-bloods who are quite easy-going and they had met since they were young adults. They were staying at a neighbourhood that also had a few muggle families. They are somewhat tolerant of muggles because of the friendly muggles they got along with, although after the Second Witch Trials, they had been more aware of muggles in general.

Since the day Noah was born, the family had been showering him with affection.
He had always been the closest with his sister Elli, who was elated to have a sibling to play with. Unfortunately, their parents had an obvious favouritism over the younger child. Even so, Elli did not mind that and still loved Noah equally.

Noah was 4. His parents were in a room discussing about some issues, while he was playing with some toys happily in another room. Suddenly, he accidentally hit a cupboard and it shook. A trophy laying on top of it was toppling. Noah knew it was dangerous, however it was happening too quickly to react. By instinct, he stretched his hands out hoping to protect his head. As he thought that the trophy was about to land on his head, he heard a loud thud beside him. The trophy suddenly changed in the direction as it fell to the side of Noah instead and he was unhurt. His parents ran out after they heard the loud noise. That was the discovery of Noah's first magical powers. He stared at the trophy rolling beside him, and then at his hands. He was puzzled but intrigued. Both his mother and father were shocked, and very relieved to see that he was fine.

Noah excitedly told Elli about that incident when she returned home from school. She was surprised, amazed that his own magic had saved him, and a little upset that she was not there to see it. She felt glad for him, yet her expression faded as she mentioned that it was something she could never wish for. Noah was still too young to have sufficient knowledge about the wizardry world and blood statuses, but he could sense that Elli was upset, which was a rare occurrence. He tried to do the magic trick again to cheer her up, but it was not easy since he was still very young. Elli laughed and hugged him tightly.

Some years passed. Noah grew rather mature for his age. He gained more understanding about the wizardry and muggle world through his parents' teachings. His magic abilities were still very limited and he had only improved slightly throughout the years.
Unlike his sister who had to study with muggles as she could not use magic, Noah was home schooled and taught by his parents themselves, later on by a private tutor. He was always curious of the outside schools, and Elli brings him different kinds of stories every time coming home from school. About the school system, the things they study, even a bit of muggle technology and their devices. Everything was so new and foreign, all the more interesting to the two excited children.
One day, Elli came home from school. Noah greeted her joyfully as usual, however it was obvious that she was forcing a smile.
Suddenly, she burst out in tears. Noah was in shock. All these years he had never seen her behave in such a manner. Noah immediately began to well up with tears as well, as he wrapped his small arms around his sister, hoping to get those sad emotions out of her.

It was only then revealed that Elli was bullied in the public school. She never slipped about having wizard blood, but some rumours had been spread because of her difference in behaviour. It was not uncommon for there to be wizards appearing in the muggle world. Despite all the violence and verbal abuse, she did not show any form of magic.
It was because she was a squib.
Some of the children even mentioned about some of the wizarding wars, where young wizards got kidnapped for experiments, threatening her with it, hoping that they could get something out of her. It had scared her so much as it was really not something to joke with. Elli felt so frustrated at that point, yet she could not retaliate.
Noah felt extremely upset for his sister. It was not her fault for feeling that way. Noah wanted to express that so badly, but he just stood by her side trembling, tears rolling down his cheeks.
She did not deserve that at all, no one does.

Even their parents, despite still not entirely accepting of their squib daughter, thought it was really unforgivable of the bullies. Since then, the family had also grown closer as they got to understand what their daughter had been going through. Family is still family, after all. Noah held that close to his heart, and hoped that one day he would get back at those bullies, to teach them a lesson. As Noah hit 11, he received an acceptance letter from Hogwarts. It was a long distance from their house, it could take up to 10 hours to travel. He was really dependent on his family for his whole life, but finally it was the time to learn by himself. It was not as if he would not meet them again, but he was extremely attached to his sister. His mother helped pack his things up, his father gave him some encouragement for his future and Elli gave him a handwritten letter as a memento. It could hopefully give him some comfort when he had reached the school. They gave Noah a final big tight family hug before saying goodbye.

Noah got sorted under Gryffindor, which he was more than excited to be in. He thought it meant that he was brave and strong, which he believed himself to be. After getting sorted and moved into the dormitories in Hogwarts, it took him quite a while to get used to the new environment. He was a pretty average student, not particularly excelling in any class, but he does actively participate in them energetically. He usually seemed to be living in his own world, however that was reduced throughout the school years as he slowly warmed up to people around him.

Presently, Noah is looking forward for his fourth year, hoping to improve himself and his abilities. Even though his determination first derived from his love for Elli, currently he would also like to learn more about the magical world and its history.

Regarding the looming threat of the muggle world
"They definitely feel inferior because of their lack of magical ability. Out of jealousy and hate, they want to inflict pain on us and become the better beings with their advancing technology. I just want to say that regardless of blood status, or the ability to use magic, we are all human. Despite having different blood, I'm sure they have some extent of logic that synchronises with ours. Surely not all of them, but a few are enough to cause tragedies to happen. The most I can do is to protect those important to me. I'm not against muggles, but the muggles that hurt wizards. "
