Im not the most diehard NGE fan, but enough to pay homage to the series. simple shading here built on a outstanding sketch drawn @ bakuretsu con. It was almost given away! Curse my generosity for letting all those 100+ sketches that were handed out before prior scanning into the comp *sob* *sob* *sob* *sob* *sob* *sob* *sob*

edit: with miminalist styles like this, even the simple details often come across as VERY coarse. a nose is added as well as more uninterupted white space. more text and the quote> "those secret smiles within your heart are finer than the ones on your face" . this is either a compliment or a rude remark. nonetheless something rei would probably say.
