Wonderful work Kirkis. The figure is very femminine. Though looking at it and then back at my own work, I'm wondering if I'm doing the female figure right or giving it the proper justice. Would you mind having a look at them and letting me know?

easy fix, your proportions and figures are fine. but the body language is somewhat less than dynamic/exciting/sexy/
3 points
1) a good rule to ive grown to draw by is "illustrate parts that you HAVE to show, dont include anything that isnt necessary" i have to tell this to myself all the time to INTENTIONALy leave out body parts. like the yukari pic, its just a head, torso, and one armpit. if the rest of the sketch (hands, feet, thighs, knees) had been included, it just wouldnt have the same effect and come off as "mediocore"
another example : life drawing: try standing in front of a mirror, arms at sides, facing you, head level, theres no doubt you could draw various simple poses no make a kick ass stance and observe what is visible and whats not. look at "xmas covered up" this is a downward shot that invovles a good degree of positioning. and hiding body parts
... to sum up the last two paragraphs id saY study the art of "life drawing"
2) shoulders: perfect indicator of body language to describe a persons mood. in almost all my female pics, the shoulders are UP (shrugging). to show cuteness and femenity. males shoulders are best down and square to the spine, to show masculinty and prowess.
3) i forgot already...er um.. abstraction! thats it.
Tthe anime style is very stringent and VERY strict on standards/proportions. sneak away from this jail of an art form.
accnentuate and elaborate the main points of the drawing and play down the rest. in the yukari pic it is most obviuosly those funbags :dances: yay. in the MEGA RPG pic its the hands and shoes, no hands or shoes are really that big, but it fit right for the pose.
thats advanced drawing kirkis style, kudos and good luck👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Thank you very much for the information. Though what about the abdomen area, since in the drawings that I've seen you do they're very hourglass shapped from below the breasts to the hips. In mine it's more hourglass shaped in the body over all.
