I've been in a lot of pain lately. The unimaginably excruciating sort. Tears have been my second nature for the past three days.

I tried to paint something. Anything to take my mind off this agony. At first I couldn't; the pain was too overpowering, dissolving my every intention of creativity.

And then the calm, somber blues appeared on the canvas. The bright, glowing figure soon followed, caressing a single tear harvested from the cheeks of a suffering human. She cannot gaze upon the sacred beauty of this tear, produced from an emotion so deep, so raw, so pure in essence, that the vibrance illuminating her body would blind her!

These tears are kept safe and unforgotten, counted and stored for the day of release. For though the sorrow may last through the night, the brilliant joy comes in the morning!

I strive for peace through the pain.

I remain tranquil in light of my torture.

I hold hope in place of despair.

I am alive.
