Her newfound feelings for Brackish caused great agony for Red Cedar. She was disgusted at herself for having feelings for someone else when she was already in a happy and committed relationship. Plus, she couldn’t understand why she was having these terrible thoughts at all. What did she see in Brackish that she didn’t see in Rainier? Her coltfriend was all she wanted and more, did she not love him enough?
For the first time in her life Cedar was at a complete loss. She was supposed to be the one who knew what to do. The one who gives advice. But now, she was the one who desperately needed someone to show her the way.
