It was a beautiful day in Italy. Only some white fluffy clouds could be spotted in the skies as Kimberly helped Lex tack up Daisy. Kimberly being a little nervous for her round later that afternoon. " You think you are going to get us a price for once Lex ? " She chuckled, knowing he was still kinda pissy about the fact he missed 3rd place by an inch last time in Tibet. He shrugged as he got on the saddle. " We will try, I know she can do it. She seems to be less nervous then normally. " Kimberly nodded agreeable. They have been training so hard this year. Both training her to get used to all the scaaary stuff around the arena and their jumping technique. They deserve a price. " Have some faith mate it will be allright." She gave him a little fist bump on the shoulder and a warm smile while Winnetou carefully played with his mothers mane. " Just don't do anything stupid, count her strides and make sure she will have no trouble jumping over the obstacles. Unlike me you can actually manage that. " He chuckled, oh he sure was looking forward to seeing her try the next round in the speed derby. " I will I will ! Right girl ? " He stroke her mane carefully as Daisy was enjoying the sun with her eyes shut. Feeling more confident having her strong son and owner around. After Lex was fully done with tacking his mare up and making her look all pretty and clean he mounted her. Kimberly giving him one last pet on the knee to wish him good luck before having to start cleaning Winnetou herself.

The warming up itself went great for the combination. But were relaxed and Daisy jumped every obstacle with ease. Both were very comfortable and looked forward to their round. And once it was their turn he made her canter towards the judge, stopping her and greeted them with a nod. Then continued with one last round to show her the surroundings. Talking to her whenever she got a little nervous. And when she had seen everything he started his round. Having a fast pace but very controlled. Counting every single stride she made and making sure she would make every jump. Not pulling on her mouth that hard since she was listening very well that only the slightest pressure was enough to slow her down or speed her up. The only thing he could hear were her hoof beats on the ground and Daisy focused only on his voice whenever he would make a sound. Once they were done she got spooked by the applause just a little which resulted in a few bucks but Lex had gotten used to that by now and rewarded his mare greatly nonetheless. " Good job girl, you did great. " He whispered to her while petting her neck with both hands. Returning to the warming up area to let her cool down. Kimberly was already waiting for them. " That looked great! You guys did very well. Make sure to give her some nice treats. " She smiled at them. Not really wanting to tack up Winnetou. God why did she agree to this stupid bet ? She just always wanted to prove herself. " Can you help me out a bit when you're done ? " He nodded when he slid of the side of his saddle. " I will reward her greaaatly no worries, and you should stop worrying aswell. Stay focused. I will be with you in a bit. " He walked away to tack his mare of. And as soon as he was done. Preparing for the next challenge.
