Description I actually caught one of these guys jamming on his bagpipes outside of the parking lot at school.... Well, of the human variety that is. Still, it was an awesome experience to be walking at night, hearing the sounds of a bygone time echoing off the cool grassy lawn, walking into the direct light of a streetlamp, and to be face to face with the real thing. There's something to be said about actually *hearing* in real time the actual sounds of historically significant music such as that....

Well, in any case, I had to add the robot element to it, as pertaining to the rule that inclusion of robots automatically (pardon the pun) makes things cooler to the ^3 (in cubic measurements).

Graphite on copy paper, PS CS. Curse them kilts.

So cool! Nice characterization, nicely rendered ectomorphic body

Thanks much - the grass was the most challenging to render.

And indeed, it's well known that deep in the heart of every Scot, there's an ectomorphic robot. It partially explains why they can busy themselves slashing eachother with knives in the heart of Glasgow, and yet no blood is drawn. (*cue "In Search Of" music*)

lol I love this! I play the bagpipes myself and artistic renderings are always great to look at. The figure has such a menecing feel but then there is the kilt and the field that just gives it this lighthearted air that is quite alot of fun.

Wow this is amazing!! The subtle color and strange meshing of alien/robot with kilt is fun and fantastic. Great job!

Is that a real story, because one time in California when I was in California I had a similar thing happen to me, but kinda weird that you mention yours that way.

i love how you did the curves on the kilts, must've been crazy work trying to do the folds on the checks, especially around the waist area.
the way you made the grass move below him was amazing too. I can almost feel the wind
