Indeed, close-up of a dancer.

This seems to be like the best portrait I have seen here in a while... because it simply shows more than the face could have shown in this case. great work!Â

It is the price you pay to dance. I am a dancer and personally I think it is worth it.

yeah my feet are starting to get that way. Not as bad but considering I'm only 14 (I've been dancing since 3) it's a bit scary.
It really captures the essence of just how damaging dancing can be on your feet.

As a former dancer, thank you. This is a portrait of someone that truly loves their art form.

I'm a dancer. Ballet included. Yes, feet can get like this, but usually they do not get this bad because of the care that we put into our feet

Thanks so much...Naomi is an amazing woman. Very few would have wanted this side of dancing to show...especially of themselves...

I have been there, done that. As an Irish Dancer, that is also what happens, when a dancer is serious. It was my life! I miss it much.

This picture really gets to the heart of dancing. I did ballet for 12 years and my feet are a less serious version of this wonderful woman's. You've really captured the pain and hard work that it takes to be a great dancer.

Amazing photo... but you know?? I think that maybe dancing hurts, I dance but to be honest the better you are, the less you hurt, and Its in like any other art or sports, martial arts means getting bruises, soccer, basket ball, anything but if you enjoy it... then its worth it

looking at this photo, I remember the pain and the burn of dancing. I'll be honest, it was one of the best feelings I have ever felt. This photo is stunning. The shades, the lighting, it's beautiful.

gosh, thats one thing i never liked about thinking about being a dancer. if i really decided to continue with it and work hard, i'd have to end up with horrible foot problems! great pic though, despite that haha

shows pretty good what a dancer has to take for fame. but honestly, the moment you hear the people applaude, it is all forgotten and repaid. if i ever have a daughter and she wants to be a ballet dancer, i'll take her to class. she has to feel it her own. but anyways it is a beautiful shot.
