I really love this piece. It sold quite awhile ago... I am contemplating making one more sizable one then retiring it all together.....though prints would still be available. But yes...this one's a special one to me...

well you know, your work is very touching, and leaves you speechless. theres awesome works of many people you can go and comment, and yes they leave you jawdropped, but, they are not as direct inside, well at least for me, it must be different with everyone of course. but as i said, you leave me without words, and this time this song came directly to my mind as the mood this image set in me reminded me of the one this song sets too. well too much blahblah now

You have given me such amazing pictures to keep inside- Your pictures, have become like books are to me; some times, they are so right, in the right time for me to read them, that they stay in my mind forever. Sometimes they change me- sometimes to the better.
Your pictures tell stories to me, that I can listen to, over and over, and hear different every time..

several thoughts come to my mind when watching this...
at first, i thought of a concentration camp... and i can't exactly say why... i remember visiting auschwitz and when i walked along the camp i had to climb some stairs that resemble those in your pic... and i guess the mystic & sad atmosphere adds much to that thought, too 
it remebers me of "the light at the end of the tunnel", too ... in this case i would interpret your comment as the last words of a dying person...
