An art trade with the lovely Portgas-D-Hato - long overdue, I'm so sorry >.< I hope you like it!Hatomi is such a gorgeous character and I have fun drawing her, but for some reason, both times now I've really struggled with her face xDD I don't know why. Hato draws her so elegantly and I'm here going ohgod I don't know how to do elegant lmao. On the other hand, her outfit was a lot of fun to draw - so much draping cloth <333 - and I think I'm finally getting the hang of Ace's musculature.
And I fucking love that background, I've discovered new enjoyment in playing around with atmospheric lighting ♥The title comes from a book series I used to love when I was a kid. It has no relevance to the scene, I just thought it sounded poetic xD
