Your beautiful scratchboard work, "Are You Ready To Go Now," is featured in my journal [link] and also in a news story [link]

Crows are awesome. My favorite bird, so much so I got a tattoo of one. I love the symbolism in this piece. Really thoughtful and in-depth.

Oh thank you! Scratchboard is a pain, but its the only pain I know. I can't really paint all that well, like you!

I love how your birds have as much expression as many human portraits I've seen, yet are still painstakingly accurate, and not in any way 'anthro' . . .

Thanks. I've had some people try to get me into doing anthro work because it is lucrative, but I just can't put too much "human" into my animals. If all I want is simple expression, why bother giving them human features/limbs/huge cartoon eyes?

Oooh, very thoughtful! And pretty. I like that only the thread is colored.
And the end of the desc made me laugh.
So many people do that. I do that. No real though behind anything, hah. It's nice that you actually DO put thought and meaning into things.

Thank you! Before I even posted this here, I had a few people go "hay a candy necklace how neat" and ask if the crow ate the candy. Hehe
