EDIT: Whoa, look at that! She's wearing an undershirt now! How totally age appropriate of her!A year ago, I submitted this piece:
which began a series that ended up being the best vehicle for my improvement that I could ever imagine. In celebration of all of the improvements I've made and all of those who have come to support me, I decided it was only fitting to go back to where it all began. I'm very proud of myself for how far I've come in the course of a year, and it's almost unimaginable to think that I at one time did not know how to shade without using the dodge and burn tools.
I know some of you are going to point out how incredibly cheesecake this is, and you're right, but I kind of thought I could pull it off with my improved anatomy skills. I am well aware that even though Luka is the biggest of the group, she probably isn't that big. My new years resolution shall be to draw more realistic chest sizes for women ;D.
Lastly, I'd like to promote a small contest we are holding over at , which is a group I would highly recommend joining if this kind of art interests you. I appreciate your honesty in your criticism. I have certainly made many mistakes and you've pointed them out pretty well. I've also started drawing breasts at a bit more of a realistic size.
When you say this style is getting stale, do you mean the actual technique or the subject matter?

The shading is very well done. There's not much to complain about proportion-wise. I really like how the eyes and hair were done. Very nice.
On the other hand... the pearl necklace could rest on her chest a little more instead of relying on her neck for support. It's more natural for the lowest point of the necklace to be centred with her body, pulled towards her centre of gravity. If you're wearing a necklace and your head turns, after all, usually the necklace doesn't turn with. The exception is the collar, same with any choker, because the neck is the source of support rather the chest area.
I'm also going to bring up Katya's point about the shading on her left shoulder. If you want some light to reach her shoulder in contrast to the shadows, the pink needs to be significantly darker. If anything, there's not enough light to come through to bring out such brightness, because there should be a shadow cast on her shoulder from the collar as well. There is one already, I believe, but it's not angled correctly.
Something about the shape of her face bothers me very much. I'll have to say, the way her head is positioned, or seems to be positioned, doesn't necessarily match how her mouth is set. You should bring in the right side of her head a little more by using the line from the top of her cheek and drawing it up, then in closer to her right eye. This'll create a cheekbone and the general direction of her head will then match her nose and mouth.
Lastly, tone down the cleavage and bustiness, dear Kyle. You, sir, are very fond of jigglypuffs.

Completely legitimate points. For some reason I cannot get a face on a head properly, and I keep falling victim to the same 2/3 perspective angle. I completely agree with the necklace as well, and I'm a bit surprised I didn't pick up on that in the first place.
Also yes, this is about as mature as I will get for a looooong time. Read the description if you haven't yet for my new years resolution.

I don't like her, I LOVE HER! the glasses just make it that much better! I don't know why glasses are such a turn on for me, but they are. now that i think about it, how come you rarely ever see furries with glasses? hmmmmm.....

The 03 is her model number. She is the third Vocaloid2 product released by Crypton. And uh, yeah, that wasn't supposed to be that big, but it kind of happened that way and it was too late to fix it.

Damn, Bumbler, you're doing such a good job. Your art skill is increasing at an exponential rate, dude! You did such a great job on the body, the boobs look great considering you had no reference, the pose is wonderful! You did a grand job on the coloring and shading. Only thing I wish to see more of is a brighter set of colors. It feels too dull for me, compared to your other drawings.
