I loooove the portrait you just drew xD Keep on doing those of your friends, most people like someone taking an interest in them. And to give some artist to artist advice keep I advise more pencil work with references specifically for your full bodies before you experiment with anymore with color or digital. It's important to really get a hold and you have a lot of potential (:

My advice is to look up the stock here on DeviantArt, there's great material to work with and all you have to do is give credit for the reference.

The easiest way. Go look in the mirror. Put on a serious face. Then play round with the tips of your mouth and your eye brows until you get something really interesting.
