Description I was low on inspiration, ~Pspynett inspired me to do a one-horned deer-unicorn-thing. x3 Then *kangetsu123 inspired me on the background. And then I went to town on the colouring (markers).

So yah! Inked mostly in maths, so excuse lack of deer anatomy. >3> Still, I'm fond of this one.

Very impressive doodle! Lovely coloring too. I think the anatomy is spot on in my opinion. Besides, fantasy animals don't follow regular rules of anatomy anyway.

the coloring and lineart on this, specifically the anatomy, is great. but from a profile perspective the one-horn concept does not pop well. i understand most decent artists would make an effort to draw both, especially from a worm's eye perspective like this, but that's the only part of this that seems weak to me.

i wouldn't have made a crit if the rest of the work weren't beautiful and the concept weren't so blatant (title.)

however, it's still absolutely gorgeous and i have to fave it. the white deer is lovely.

Thank you very much! I absolutely agree with you about the horn thing - it was an issue for me as well, but I liked the pose as-is, so I went ahead with it. It did mean sacrificing the impact of the single horn, and now I can think of poses I could do that would save it. Ah well, if I ever draw him again, I shall do that. Thanks very much The shininess is just me shading it with a grey and then going slightly bonkers with the background colour. >3> Though I did go to town a bit on getting the inking as tapery as possible. xD
