This was one of those things I went slightly overboard on. >3>

This is Teyn, my megaloceros character for ~jinxhellbent 's proposed D&D animal campaign. He's got the same sticker-points-by-accidental-castration thing going on as Tristan : at some point in the summer of his sixth year he's attacked by a big cat and entirely deprived of his ability to reproduce. This would have been the year he would have started to get harems (rather than nicking single does off other bucks), and so when he realises (later, when his antlers weren't doing the proper thing), he's Mightily Pissed Off. Deer in this RP, though obviously slightly anthropomorphised, are very family-orientated and a lot of emphasis is put on Furthering The Line; his inability to do this sends Teyn into a bit of a downwards spiral and he leaves the herd, travelling between others. At some point in a sparring match he loses half of his left antler, and due to his condition it is never replaced. He's still an imposing figure and quite capable of whupping ass, but at 8 years old (9th year) he should be starting his prime reproduction years. Naturally he's quite bitter about this.

I was pondering what to do with the grass, not wanting to do texture, impression or grass brushes, and ~MissNysha 's grass tutorial popped up. I really quite like the effect it gives. :3

Be gentle about deer anatomy: I referenced the feth out of everything, but I'm still very new to it.
