Description My interpretation of Marius de Romanus from the Vampire Trilogy from Anne Rice. In this deviation I thought of going back to his origin after he was abducted and borne to immortality. As one of the ancient ones I felt that the background and context of his transformation was particularly relevant. He was of Gaul descent, about 6'4" and I would assume he was not slight of built either. To sum it up quite an imposing figure and for the younger vampires born of later generations practically legend. I think few have come across him and was probably in the mind of many gone down into legend. Therefore I felt that his representation should cut a rather impressive figure

I thank for giving me further stats on him

A big thank you to all the stock providers

O_O I'm envious, I wish I has half as good as you ^.^ This is basically exactly how I've always pictured Marius and I've read just about everyone of Anne Rice's vampire books, if you haven't already I'd suggest reading Blood and Gold, Marius tells more of his story ^.^

Sometimes its a character, other times its music that inspires me. I think I read Blood and Gold but it has been a long time ago. As for the piece looking good all I can say is... Practice, practice, practice ! If you work with Photoshop look for Scott Kelby's CS3 for digital photographer )here is the link [link] ) After using this book over and over I found that my work has a much more refined look to it. Marius' piece dates back from the time when I used Paint Shop Pro but apparently it showed promise

First I was like: "YAY! Doltlawyer!" But then, I realized there's was another Marius.

LOL....Enlighten me...who's Doltlawyer???

It's a special term for a Les MisΓ©rables character, Marius Pontmercy. He's young, fluffy, daydreaming in his whole life, and living in a pink fog. Other words... he's disgustingly cute.

So Inspector Javert named him Doltlawyer.

Thank you luv! I'm glad you like it, I wasn't sure about it at all and felt insecure...the transformation from the original pic is extensive.

Yeah? If you look at the original pics its a Major transformation...I was afraid I'd challenged myself a notch above the average work I normally do...the bar was set fairly high on this one and the setting was unusual than one might expect to find a vampire in...it felt like venturing in uncharted territories so to speak. I'm really glad you like the result

I think you have most definiftly rose to the challenge and excelled in it. You've done wonderful! And I think it's really different from the usual vampire works, which is great as well.

I'm reasonably satisfied, a while ago I wouldn't have taken it on and felt I wasn't up to it, it shows confidence and evolving in skills imo. Glad you enjoy the view luv
