I need help. I've been slacking on keeping up with things here, so I don't really deserve help...but hey, haha.I am trying to make a logo for a pretend company that manufactures typographic cookies, haha. I feel like I am in a rut...no ideas for colors, and I am stuck trying the same things over and over. Is anything here sort of working? I am afraid it's looking too bakery-like, and not...novelty-gift-for-designers-y. Just looking for ideas and feedback, if anyone has any.
(Oh I know...this is a messy way to display logos...)

I like the bottom right one the best. I think that the text in it is calm and nicely balanced. I also like that it is a circle, because I get the sense that everyone who sells novelty gifts puts them in clear plastic bags and seals them up with a round sticker with the company logo on it. Or a round tin with the company logo on it. Or a brown box topped with a round sticker with the company logo on it. <.< >.>
I feel like it could use a little pink (or light teal), and a little something that suggests sprinkles or flower-shaped sprinkles or pink sugar so the cookie feels a little less naked.

I like that one too, and I think if I was doing, like, some sort of nerdy typography bakery, I'd just go with it. I did want this to look a little more slick and design-y...I think I went a little too hand-made on these designs.
I definitely agree about needing color. I tried so many things, I feel like, and I was never quite satisfied with the colors.

i like the one in the 2nd row and 1st logo. i really like the font choice in that one and the placement of everything as well. but i also like maivry suggestion u can try incorporating other baking elements just to see what that looks like. but this seems like a fun project keep me posted on this if not on here.

Yeah, I don't want to make this any more bakery-like than it already is, though. I need to barf up a letterhead and business card today, so that I can have something in class...we'll see how it goes.

I'm rather partial to the one in the middle. The ampersand melding into the background allows the cookie to be noticeable while preventing it from overwhelming the type.
Maybe you could try incorporating non-cookie elements into the design? I dunno, a mixing bowl and spoon, sprinkles, a frosting tip with frosting... or type made of frosting. At least you could get something fresh to work with so you could better compare it with this batch. (No pun intended.

Haha, I think that would be cute if this was for a bakery, but I was thinking of something a little more...commercial? I think this batch mighta just been too handmade-looking.

well for just looking at them i like the bottom right one the best but as for a novelty kinda think i think the top right one is more like it
but they are all very cute logos

Using a bolder font on the "type", like one the leftmost logos, definitely places the emphasis on the typography aspect, and away from the bakery feel. But these all look pretty fantastic to me.
