Description So I ditched the Sylveon-Abra hybrid idea....thing- and went with something a little more simple, yet fun design wise in my opinion. o3o
Though Sola still has the majority appearance of an Abra, some of the markings/fur is that of a Smeargle (and because I liked how it looked on her I'm going to go out on a whim and say her longer hair is thanks to the brush, or tail of a Smeargle :'D).

This is Sola after these years, and the only Sola might I add after her (not so pleasant) encounter with her other half, or twin, who she's relieved to be rid of, now a bit more confident and relaxed. Long story short: The two got into a fight that ended swiftly with Sola #2's death and now the actual Sola lives peacefully without the fear of her sister wanting to bring harm to her. I want to make a few key pictures of this event and how it went down but we'll see how that goes. I'll at least write it somewhere if I don't get to it. >n>;;

However not everything went so well -- after Sola #2 was rid of, Sola may have eaten her memories (via Dream Eater) that may have been vital, and came across a few things that brought over a feeling of guilt for reasons she's somewhat confused on, since Sola #2's previous affiliation wasn't exactly "nice", but the memories did seem happy. This can relate to the sketch found in the top right, and Sola talking to herself about wondering if she should contact them somehow in person explaining everything ( everything ) and risk her life or keep quiet and never inform them of Sola #2's death.

I'd love to ramble on more about this, I really would because boy did I think about this all day -- it's like I was playing with a puzzle really a fun puzzle -- but I think I'll leave it at that hgghjkl---

I love the markings you've put on her - and it's amazing hearing she was able to beat her other half. I'm also interested in the fact she tried to remove her memories of the event of killing her other half/sister and now feels some strange guilt.

It's fascinating - this character was one of my favourites of yours when I heard about her a few years ago, and it's interesting seeing how the character has developed over the years.

I actually wanted to discuss that "guilt" part with you, if that's alright of course. Some of it actually involves Sola #2's relationship with the Liberators.

Yeah, it's weird but nice at the same time to see characters grow.

That would be fine. I'm sorry it's been a while since we've chatted, but I'd be happy to discuss it with you.

It's like Pyro - he's still a raunchy guy, but he's a bit more reasonable than he used to be.

Great! Over notes or skype? I'm fine with either.

Azura would be proud of him.

Could we do it over notes?

Somewhere Pyro is getting a nosebleed.

Just read and sent the note.

(Also, have you seen the news about the final evolutions for the Alola starters? )

Yeah! Im definitely getting Rowlett now!
I really want a Litten too though, I love those animations and the personality of Incineroar.

I've been asking some of my friends on DA if they would be interested in trading a Pokémon I can get on Moon but they can't on Sun for a Popplio - as I actually really REALLY want to train a Litten and a Popplio - like how I trained a Snivy and an Oshawott in my Pokémon Black game. That, and Incineroar and Primarina are also awesome too.

Don't get me wrong, Rowlett's final evolution is awesome too, but I haven't trained a Fire type starter for at least ten years, and I think Popplio is like the Oshawott of Gen 7 - a Pokémon that deserves much more love than it's currently getting.

I actually know a friend who is planning on getting a Popplio on Moon, so I could possibly ask them to breed it and give me one so I can trade it to you for a Moon exclusive when the time comes if you'd like.

Awww, thank you so much! I'm actually drawing a comic with me adopting a Popplio though something resembling one of those animal adoption charities, hoping it can help Acrid the Litten become a bit more friendly when we go to Alola.

I chose the name for her from a poll recently - Moana the Popplio. Guess what the inspiration for her name is?

Hmmm, it wouldn't happen to be a certain Disney movie about a girl who was chosen by the sea, now would it?

How EVER did you guess?

Speaking of which, when these two things come out over the next two months, I have a feeling I'll be reliving my Hawaiian holiday I had some years ago.

I heard they might bee getting rid of the HM moves in Sun and Moon because of the rideable Pokemon you eventually get, that would be pretty neat actually!

Ohh the sweet nostalgia. XD

Oh? That sounds..... a bit of a odd change to make. I hope that means you can ride your own team members. Riding the Tauros in the demo is awesome, but being able to ride on the back of your own team members would be incredible - I can imagine Asumo the Pangoro being one to ride on the back on so he can smash through boulders while screaming 'FEEL THE BURN!!'.

That reminds me of the time when Rock Smash, Rock Climb and Defog were demoted to TM moves. Will it be like that, or will moves like Cut, Waterfall and Fly be removed entirely? But on the one hand, Cut was kind of useless in battle.

Yeeees - I may watch Lilo and Stitch again in November if my sister can lend me her copy to get me even MORE hyped up.

Kaozima In reply to Duckyworth [2016-10-27 18:24:47 +0000 UTC]

Whether they're removed entirely or not I'm unsure, but the pokemon you will be able to ride around (freely, because in the demo I was running around on Tauros everywhere XD), they will be able to break rocks, and I know there's a Sharpedo that you can ride on water. That's all I heard so far.

Duckyworth In reply to Kaozima [2016-10-27 18:30:15 +0000 UTC]

Oh yeah, I saw the Sharpedo footage - that looks amazing!

My dream scenario for a Pokémon game would be what happened in Heart Gold/Soul Silver again (having the Pokémon at the top of your team following you in the field) combined with this. If that happens in the future, I can die a happy man.

But for the record - one thing I probably WON'T try to do this game is fill up the Pokedex all the way. I got all 800+ in my Pokémon Y game, but I can imagine the 1000 or so over the 7 generations would probably be too much for me. I'm still keeping my Y game so I can keep it up, as I'm really happy about achieving that.

It's funny, in most of my other playthroughs, my Pokedex summary at the end after beating the Champion was always 'Try looking in grassy areas!' My sister remarked on how odd it was that as the Pokedex got LARGER, I was MORE driven to fill the Pokedex up.

I usually only catch Pokémon I wan to train, but after becoming close to filling up my Pokémon Black Pokedex, I felt inspired to try and fill a Pokedex up completely.

Kaozima In reply to Duckyworth [2016-10-27 20:18:15 +0000 UTC]

That's pretty much the same thing that happened with me. I realized I didn't have much Pokemon left to find in my Hoenn Dex, some of them requiring breeding or evolution requirements, or encounters with trainers, so I spent the rest of my day doing just that.

Duckyworth In reply to Kaozima [2016-10-27 20:53:17 +0000 UTC]

I hoe the new Pokedex brings back some bits from Pokedexes from previous generations back - I remember that some instances involve height comparisons between two Pokémon. I can't remember whether that was in the Gen VI Pokedex, but I do remember the Gen III Pokedex doing that. I do like the fact it looks like a Rotom now.

Gargh - it's just getting me so pumped talking about this game! It's just under a month now.

A friendly little buddy to help you with your info.
Yeah, that really would be super useful to have again, though something I was unsure of was their heights compared to trainers, mostly because I see them as a little bit bigger or a little smaller than they usually are.

Duckyworth In reply to Kaozima [2016-10-27 21:13:30 +0000 UTC]

Yeah - I sometimes look at my Pokedex when drawing Pokémon characters to help with heights, so that would be really helpful. I mean, the website Veekun is helpful, but I'd like it to be on a video game too.

True, that.

I really love the camera thing on the Pokedex now, though. Kind of like the Camera guy in Pokémon X and Y, but now you can take pictures of Pokémon in the field - awesome.
