This ferret was at a zoo?... I thought ferrets were domesticated pets xD... It might just be a European Polecat... looks a lot like the ferret and they are directly related to then ^_^ (please excuse me for being an animal geek here xD)

This is not a black-footed polecat (Mustela nigripes) at all, it is a European polecat (Mustela putorius putorius).

If you don't want to beleive me, that's your business, but I've been a Mustelids addict for 4 years and I'm looking forward to become a ferret breeder, and maybe even breed European polecat/ferret hybrids.

Which zoo do they keep them in here? I have some as pets , but have never seen one in a zoo. If it's not too far from Muenster i would love to see it up close.
