This scene reminds me of some finnish painters work (I guess it's quite famous) but I cannot remeber who the painter was, that really disturbes me...
Converted to b&w using channel mixer in ps. Sorry about the raindrops on the lens, I didn't notice them on the picture before I was at home and obviously it was too late then...

My God, do you live near all this beauty, or do you have to travel to get there? This picture seems to prove earthβs resilience; the tree bends but does not break β¦ you do a magnificent job of capturing the mood of nature.

I've travelled quite a lot.. however, almost all photos are taken in Finland. I guess we Finns are quite lucky, the nature is really beautiful here! Glad to hear you like what I'm doing!

You are lucky! I'm supposed to go to FInland in the spring, and one of the main reasons I want to go is to take pictures and paint the scenery. I hear Lappi, especially, is gorgeous.

I've been sailing there quite many times. One can say I almost live in the archipelago. Turku is situated on such a beautiful place... just go to google maps, click on the satellite image and search for Turku.

You know, this really reminds me of some Finnish painter. But I can't recall who it is either. Even so, this is great!
I really like the look of the windbeaten rocks and the birch, fighting against the storm. And yet somehow this is very balanced, not relaxing but this gives me a feeling of strength. That I could cope through anything.
You've got some wonderful Finnish landscapes captured here, keep it up!
