This is kind of an old drawing that I did as "fan service" for the readers of ShadowFall . The character is Genjiro, who is the main character in the story. It's all in pencil on Bristol.Related content

For me, his figure is great! The shapes are well done. If you add more shading the next time it will look more realistic.
But anyway, is a good one

Thanks! I thought about doing more with the shading, but ended up being stuck sort of halfway between my usual style and a more modelled look. I found it a good exercise in anatomy, at least. (^-^)

Yes, you will learn to use shading with time...I remember I used to do my drawings totally plain and always avoided shading. You are already doing the try and that's really good.
With time you learn how to use it

Hmm. Doesn't seem your normal style. Were you using a reference pic? It looks a little off to me, especially his left shoulder, it's too small. And his forearm......

Yeah, I did have a reference pic for this one, and it's certainly not my normal style. I thought I'd try something a little different for the pinup, to kind of set it apart from the comics. One of my friends drew this same guy completely naked...from the front. Me, I can't do that. This one of him in a bikini was hard enough for me. Naturally, I prefer to draw the girls naked.
